Founder and Curator
Sahar Mokhtari
Curator, creative producer and installation artist, based in Sydney.
Biography
Sahar Mokhtari is a Sydney-based curator and creative producer, and the founder and curator of ArtGlow.
Her work began in live performance. Over seven years in theatre she worked as a production manager and stage manager, bringing works from the rehearsal room to the stage.
In 2024 she founded ArtGlow, a contemporary art platform that brings together visual artists, photographers, filmmakers and musicians. Her projects explore memory, transformation and the poetic journey of migration through collaborative art. For Under the Skin of Carpet, she brought together fourteen artists to transform fragments of a single hand-woven Persian carpet into individual works, shown in Piece of Home (2025) alongside her own installation. Most recently she curated LIMINAL (2026), a group exhibition inspired by the philosophy of Kintsugi.
